How to subscribe (Apple Calendar)

1. Copy the feed URL (the full public address ending in mooncalendar.ics).
2. Open Calendar on macOS or iOS.
3. macOS: File → New Calendar Subscription… iOS: Calendar → Add Calendar → Add Subscription Calendar…
4. Paste the URL, set Auto-refresh: Every day, leave Alerts enabled.

How to subscribe (Google Calendar)

1. Click Subscribe in Google Calendar above. Google Calendar opens with an "Add this calendar?" prompt — click Add.
2. Or, manually: open calendar.google.com → click the + next to Other calendars (left sidebar) → From URL → paste the feed URL above → Add calendar.
3. The calendar appears under Other calendars. Rename, recolor, or hide it from the per-calendar menu.
4. Refresh cadence: Google polls external feeds on its own schedule (typically a few times a day). There's no user-tunable refresh interval.

Not getting alerts?

Apple Calendar has a per-subscription Remove Alerts / Ignore Alerts toggle that silently strips the feed's VALARM blocks and substitutes a "Default (At time of event)" fallback. Turn it off to see the two alarms the feed ships with:

• macOS: Calendar → Settings → Accounts → select "Moon Calendar" → uncheck "Ignore alerts".
• iOS / iPadOS: Settings → Calendar → Accounts → select "Moon Calendar" → disable "Remove Alerts".

If you see "Default (At time of event)" on an event and the field is read-only, iOS cached the subscription's alarm handling from the first subscribe. Delete the subscription (Settings → Calendar → Accounts → "Moon Calendar" → Delete Account) and re-subscribe from this page — making sure Remove Alerts is OFF on the confirmation sheet.
